Another ignorant remark by Santorum directs a shot fired towards Obama, questioning why he's several thousand miles away while the Obamacare health care law debates begin.
Believe it or not, Ricky, there are responsibilities a President holds on a global scale and not just national. Attending a nuclear summit is one of them, and health care isn't going to mean squat when we're all filled with decaying atoms.
Obama isn't 'running away' from his health care reform. There are bigger issues at hand, and global peace is more important in the long run than a healthcare law. Not to say what's going on here isn't important, just putting things into perspective here.

The first thing that pops into my head is "Mind Your Business." I agree with Nate that whatever is going on over there is definitely more important than a health care mess. He's only going to continue to find things to bicker about towards Romney because he simply has nothing else to do. The president has other duties to fulfill instead of watch his health care note be passed/denied.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I agree with the fact that there are bigger problems at hand, you can't really say "Mind Your Business". Obama's business is everyone's business (unless you mean his personal business, which i dont care about). Rick is trying to stir up controversy over Obama's actions (of course), because he is running for president. This is expected.
DeleteYeah I agree with these guys, theres really no reason for him to be here during the healthcare debates. Sure, it'd be god to show his support for his law-- but he really wouldnt have any power over what the outcome is. Maintaining global peace is definitely a more important issue-- despite what big Rick thinks.
ReplyDeleteI agree with everyone above. Global issues are just as important, if not more important than national issues. Santorum is just trying to stir things up, which as Garrett said, is expected.
ReplyDeleteSantorum is just doing anything he can to irk people about Obama. People that don't use critical thinking (there are plenty of them) will see fault in Obama's absense. Sure he sounds like an idiot, but it gets people on his side. Eventually, by having all of their dense and obtuse views confirmed by leading political figures pandering to their ignorance, these people will gain legitmacy. Once their ideas become valid, they become valid political figures themselves, diluting what is left of the country's political acumen (see Santorum, Rick). Attempting to assemble a coalition of stubbornly imperceptive people is as dangerous as it is numerically effective.
ReplyDeleteI don't see why Santorum would ever think that Obama would run away from "Obamacare." It was one of the biggest things that Obama supported and something that he would like to continue to work. Santorum wants to rip on the President and Romney while the Santorum followers listen and agree with their heads in the sand. Santorum should never have had a shot at the presidency.
ReplyDeleteThis is comical. Does Santorum really think that the President of the United States has the time to sit around and hear arguments about Obamacare? What happens with Obamacare is out of Obama's hands now in my opinion. I am glad to see that Obama is attending a nuclear summit, not a healthcare debate. Santorum managed to make himself look like an idiot again.
