In another unremarkable turn of events, candidate Mitt Romney throws himself at whatever sort of deluded leverage he can possibly find in order to slanderize Obama as well as to brush off that ever so growing larger dirt on his shoulder that is Santorum.
"I'm not going to worry too much about what Rick is saying these days," Romney said on CNN's "The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer." "I know when you're falling further and further behind, you get a little more animated."
Right on, Mitt. You seem to be caught in the midst of some dramatic irony. In other news he went to go see the Hunger Games with his kids! In an actual cinema! He also likes to read books, for fun. What a family man.

Russians aren't evil. Romney said that " this is a president who is telling us one thing and doing something else." That's funny because that sounds pretty similar to you with your etch a sketch. I'm sure Romney will feel more flexible if he ever won the presidency."Terrible Actors,World's Worst Actors" Obama having discussions with Russia doesn't surprise me. I don't think it's a huge deal..soon I'm sure the information will be leaked about whats been really discussed. In other news, that was a nice touch to the ending…Romney went to watch The Hunger Games with his grandchildren over the weekend.
ReplyDeleteProbably a good move by Mit to sort of, "brush it under the carpet". He shouldnt let Rick get to him because honestly, he doesn't really stand a chance. Mit should just keep doin what he's doing because it seems to have been working for him recently. As long as he doesn't do anything stupid I think he's got the nomination in the bag.
ReplyDeleteI kind of like this move by Mitt. He establishes that he doesn't care what Santorum says, but then throws in a little jab, that is sure to infuriate Rick. Shows the confidence that Mitt has in himself to pull out the nomination. I believe that as long as a candidate isnt too cocky, a little confidence doesnt hurt anyone. Also, this is another way that he can get under Rick's skin. Strong move governor. Strong move.
ReplyDeleteGood move on Mit's part. He just kind of blows it of and lets Santorum's comment go. Mit should definitely keep this attitude up, and then I think he'll be the one with his name on the ballot.
ReplyDeleteI don't know guaranteedreplies, and no, I'm not referring to the significance of your user name (I still haven't gotten an adequate explanation), I'm reffering to your assesment of Romney's comment. He completely dismisses Santorum as a legitimate threat, and the only reason Santorum won any states is precisely because started to see him as a viable option. By talking about him as if he's some crazy, desperate third party candidate for whom he devotes no time worrying about losing to, he reduces Santorum to a niche candidate. The fact that he doubts the possibility of a Santorum victory will lead voters to do the same, forcing them to begrudingly crawl on back.
ReplyDeleteRussia isn't even a problem anymore and hasn't been since Rocky 4. But I can see what Romney is doing. He is getting distance between him and the other candidates, and running with it. There is no chance that a candidate can have a long enough run against him to beat him.
ReplyDeleteI think that Romney should recognize that Santorum is a legitimate threat to him. I'm not sure if he has been checking the news, but Santorum isnt too far behind in the election. I guess that it is pretty good for Romney's image for him to just let the Santorum comment go, but I think it is important that he recognizes that he is a legitimate threat.
