Chris Christie Doesn't Understand Civil Rights Movement

When talking about how he would veto any gay marriage bill brought forth to his desk, Chris Christie made the rather bold decree that "People would have been happy to have a referendum on civil rights rather than fighting and dying in the streets in the South." Hmm...

  2. Well…That was…a very smart thing to say? It didn't even make much sense. It was a very bold reference to use and made him more idiotic than most. John Lewis really came came back with the baseball bat on this…"could not register to vote simply because of the color of their skin" and other remarks. Another person's opinion twisted into some sort of controversial disaster..nothing surprising. I think that he should've been more careful with his analogical thoughts and took to time process that his example made sense

  3. Found the article. Unbelievable! It's comments like this that will make Chris Christie unsuitable to be named a running mate for the eventual Republican nominee (a possibility that has been widely discussed). His "explanation" after the initial quote makes even less sense than the original statement!

  4. This article is yet again, proving that sometimes today's politicians need to brush up on their knowledge. Politicians today are mixing up, or straight up forgetting views too often. How are they supposed to make valid decisions when they don't even have an actual understanding of the nation's history?

  5. Chris Christie is a numb-nuts. He's completely unprofessional and some of his comments are outrageous. He's governor of a pretty big state and is disrespectful to his colleagues. I praise Lewis and Gusciora for saying what they did to him and making it clear that Christie is stupid and has no idea what he's doing.

  7. I don't know about Chris Christie's future as a leader. Chris Christie would be unable to represent about a quarter of the population. Equality is guaranteed in the constitution. He is probably best friends with Boehner. especially since this is definitely how Boehner feels. http://cdn.unicornbooty.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/Is-John-Boehner-Perjuring-Himself-Over-and-Over-Again-In-DOMA-Case.jpg

  8. I think it's funny how Christie is calling someone a numb-nuts, while in reality, Christie is the numb-nuts here. Some of his comments are disrespectful and he is completely unprofessional. Props to Lewis and Gusciora for calling him out.

  9. What is this guy doing? I was under the impression that politicians have teams of advisors and speech writers who make sure that they don't say stupid comments. Either Chrisite's advising team went on vacation, or they shouldn't be allowed to go in public.

  10. Some say that there is no such thing as bad press, but Chris Christie's comment about gay marriage completely proves that theory false. Not only do I disagree with the fundamentals of his prospective, but I found it completely offensive and unprofessional to say that to the media...politicians should learn to keep things like that to themselves.
