Gingrich Tells Romney He Will Quit Race

Newt is finally throwing in the towel. Newt contacted Romney early on Wednesday and told him that he would try his best to get conservatives to vote for him. Newt said earlier on Wednesday, "“I think obviously that I would be a better candidate, but the objective fact is the voters didn’t think that. And I also think it’s very, very important that we be unified". Do you think that after a candidate loses, he is really unifying the political party, or is he just supporting his previous opponent to possibly get a job in the White House?

  1. "I think obviously that I would be a better candidate, but the object fat is the voters didn't think that." People think very highly of themselves sometimes..Perhaps it may seem a bit shameful in the eyes of Gingrich to be requesting some money help from Romney but I mean I certainly would. It's only $4 million dollars…It's cute in the end how they support each other after all the bickering. #teamnobama

  2. No I don't think Newt is just sucking up to Romney to get a position in the white house... well at least I don't think its his top priority. I believe that he truly does realize that the overall objective is to get Obama out of office and he will do whatever it takes to help Romney win this election.

  3. This made me giggle. It's like, "I'm dropping out...next week". What a jokester. The guy just wants to continue his campaign for one more week so he can get the money he needs to get him out of all the debt he has built up during this campaign. Oh Dr. Gingrich, shoulda gave up a long time ago buddy.

  4. I do think that Newt is doing a little "ass-kissing." He got knocked around pretty hard in the race, and if he really did think he was the best candidate he would still be in the race. But the facts and the votes show other wise. He clearly is not a good candidate and wants to make up for his licking he took in the primaries by getting a nice comfortable job at Mitt's table.

  5. I don't think that Newt was sucking up to Romney, I think he actually realized that it was just best to drop out so that the more popular candidate could make it further in the race for president.

  6. Newt finally realized that it was his time to go. Everyone saw it coming for awhile, but now its finally here. Now its time for Romney to suit up and come at Obama. We'll see how that goes.
