Nobody should care what the president does with his free time. Challenging the president's claim that he skeet shoots is the gun lobby's attempt to distance the president from its own gun-loving base.
I saw this and laughed. Finally, reporters have proof that Obama goes skeet shooting! Whoooo!!! I don't think that everyone needs to know what the President does in his free time either John...the reporters are asking for a lot since Newton's shooting.
I think it's great that we now have proof that our president has shot a gun particularly so that now we can all get over it and go back to actually paying attention to proposed policies that actually matter to the gun control debate.
I think it is sad how much attention the media is giving to this. Personally, I don't believe the president "staged" this shot, but truly if he did I would not care. I am not just saying this because I support him. I would say that about any president. This is too small of an issue especially in the condition out country is now for the press on both sides to be focusing so much on this picture.
BTW Jon Stewart has a great segment about the media coverage of this picture.
This is something that is just so frustrating to me. It is just like the debate of President Obama's birth and citizenship. Even with a birth certificate he was continuously hounded by the media. Although they can be considered the fourth part of government, sometimes they just have to chill.
Who really wants to know what the President does during his free time. Sometimes the media takes things too far, then it really needs to. Who really cares what the President does during his free time?
Outstanding! ;)

ReplyDeleteWhether Obama does or does not go shooting (which we now know he does), why should this affect the debate about gun control?
