Gingrich Needs Signatures
"And failure to get on a ballot does not necessarily spell disaster." Unfortunately these words make me want to abandon ship and ditch Newt Gingrich. When a potential presidential candidate does not have enough signatures to be on the ticket in Virginia and thus has to scramble around for them during the holiday season, it is worrying. Gingrich all ready failed to get on the ballot in Missouri. Worrying, deeply worrying.

Will Newt get enough signatures? Or will he simply get the ka-boot. 10,000 signature seems pretty steep. I agree that if he reaches his goal then there's definitely a true sign of strength for him. The world of politics is corrupt. Should he achieve all the needed signatures and some actually being bad signatures..I mean if Obama can get away with it, why can't Newt? It must be embarrassing to admit "we may barely make it thursday in Virginia". This scrambling showing his lack of organization..I'm sure has affected many peoples judgement on the man.

what a #freak? this guy should have had all of his signatures a while ago. I just don't see how you can wait to get your signatures so long that it is almost impossible to get on the ballot. I feel as though Gingrich just does not want to win anymore, but I feel that way about most of the candidates... If anyone has yet to mess up, it is Mitt Romney, but he is too moderate for the primary, which may just ruin his chances. #sadblog
ReplyDeleteThis is a huge red flag for me as a voter. This guy is a politician and he was so lazy that he didn't even do what he needed to do in order to get on the ballad. This just reminds me of myself when I put off an assignment until the last minute. Fortunately for me I'm only in high school, Newt Gingrich is on the national stage and is running for the most important job in the country. #inexcusable
ReplyDeleteEven though he'll probably end up getting enough signatures, it's a bit concerning that he's just getting around to getting the signatures now. Talk about lack of organization... And I agree with graham #presidentialprocrastination?
ReplyDeleteFirst, just from reading Joe's description of the article and seeing that Gingrich has already done this once and has FAILED to get on the ballot in Missouri is an immediate red flag. It just show's that he's lazy and is not putting in the effort that you would like to see from a candidate running for president. It's like a student starting a 12 page paper the night before its due. Not good.

I guess Missouri and Virginia must have googled "Newt Gingrich's past." The fact that Newt can't make his way on to ballots isn't surprising, the fact that he's on any is. Newt Gingrich legitamely frightens me, not because I don't like his politics or I find him annoying but because I legitimately think that if elected President he would never relinquish it. Gingrich has just the right combination of mania, delusory, grandeur, effrontery, lust for power, oratory prowess, baseless hubris, audacity, and indignation to becomes the 21st century's first tyrannical dictator. The fact that he's failing to even get on to ballots speaks to how greatly he has offended some people, that they refuse to even allow him to run. For this I'm glad.
