Hermain Cain Reassessing Candidacy Amid new Allegations

I just read a short article on the new allegations coming out against Hermain Cain. I figured since we touched up on it the first minute or two of class today I thought I would post an article about it just so we have a bit of a better understanding of how Mr. Cain is assessing the situation.

  1. He's toast. It's shaping up to be a two-man race-- Romney and Gingrich. Gingrich is also damaged goods, however-- lots of questions about his ethics, personal background etc. I predict it will be Mitt Romney who emerges as the Republican candidate to challenge Obama. It will be interesting to see if a more conservative, Tea Party-type runs as a third party candidate.

  2. Herman Cain, the name is simply just only the beginning of his political struggles to progress forward. His unfortunate past of odd job positions and now some woman named Ginger White whom he supposedly had a 13 year affair with…The man has no luck. As a person who would enjoy a more personable person to represent me I would pick Herman Cain because of his spirits. Despite the true turnout as to if this affair is validated true, he has definitely lost votes instantly as soon as the issue was even brought up. Previous Accusations of sexual harassment already made by 4 women has already been enough to demolish his poorly constructed jenga tower.

  3. Herman Cain is the Republican party's effort to convince the country, and themselves, that they're not racist. Presidential races are nothing more than beauty contests, and I refuse to believe that anyone thinks John McCain has a more appealing persona than Barack Obama is anything but racist. Then there's the unprecedented, absurd opposition that Obama has faced from the Republican majority house. Obama has done nothing but concede, and his economic policies have been decidely conservative. His own party complains that he is too conservative, yet those that he is conforming to refuse to give him any credit. Killing Obama, which conservatives have been drooling over for the last decade, wasn't because of Obama, it was Bush who laid the foundation for the attack. Petty refusals to acknowledge success like that are widespread throughout the Republican party and media that I can offer no other conclusion than that are all a little racist. But they are also politcally correct (right Mitt?), and to be racist is not very pc. Enter Hermain Cain, a Republican candidate who has soared to the top of the polls...in November. Now his numbers are dipping just in time for the primaries. Herman Cain was never a serious candidate. He wasn't even a politician, he was the ceo of of pizza company. He knows nothing about politics, he's a womanizer, and he's prone to demonstrating these characertistics in public. Herman Cain is a joke, but also perfect for the Republican party. They can pretend to support him when it doesn't matter so they can prove that they're not racist, then suddenly have a grand epiphany that maybe Herman Cain shouldn't be President.

  4. Herman Cain was never a real candidate...he was just a distraction. He is the joke of politics, and now with the sexual harassment allegations, he became a joke that is not funny anymore. I think that it is absurd that he compared the sexual harassment allegations to financial setbacks in the article. I agree with Jake Day in the sense that Cain is just a pawn to prove that Republicans are not racist.

  5. Hermain Cain doesn't have a prayer. I think we all enjoyed the show, but he has little to no political background and now his campaign is in shambles. I don't think any of the voters will be willing to waste their vote on a man who appears so unstable, when they have several other candidates to choose from like Romney and Gingrich who have solid political backgrounds and as far as we know are clean and stable.

  6. I've never liked Herman Cain. He has no idea what he's doing. He just had some quick appeal to people because he was new and something different. He had no political background and was just a business man. He had some of the same appeal Jimmy Carter had. However, Jimmy Carter didnt make us think he was a joke ever, as Herman Cain has done numerous times. Anything Herman Cain says is just noise now, and as Mr. Danson said, it's just Speaker Gingrich and Gov. Romney now. Romney is appealing and Gingrich is just a genius. Herman Cain is neither.

  7. Herman Cain....I don’t even know where to begin with him. He doesn’t know what he’s doing. I don’t understand what the appeal is with him. Yeah, he’s a businessman, but what else does he have going for him? An affair with a lady named Ginger? That’s not going to help him any. Cain is just out of luck.
